Why Doesn't the VeEX Software Update Function Recognize the Upgrade Package?
The Test Set's software installer packages are distributed as *.zip files. They need to be uncompressed once, to obtain the *.tar.gz or *.tar.xz installer packages. DO NOT uncompress the GZ or GX files!
When you download the software/firmware update installer packages from VeEX's product pages (web site), they are usually delivered as ZIP containers (compressed files). Uncompress the file once, to obtain the appropriate *.tax.gz or *.tar.xz installer package (e.g., mtx150-veex-arm-tar.gz or rxt1200-rxt6402.tar.xz).
Even though the *.tar.gz and *.tar.xz are displayed as compressed files, DO NOT uncompress them any further. These are the files that need to be copied to the root of the FAT32 USB memory stick, for a hard upgrade, or used by the Web Remote Access browse function, to perform the software updates.
Refer to the How to Upgrade or Update the Test Set's Software/Firmware guide for more details.
