What is NoApp? (NoAPP or No App)

NoApp® allows users of supported VeEX products to easily transfer test results to mobile devices via their native QR Code or NFC readers, without having to install any application (app), sign in to a service, share contact information, or require any configuration.

NoApp® is a Registered Trademark of VeEX Inc. Its methods and procedures are protected under US Patents 12,190,199 B1 (QR code) and 12,321,807 B1 (NFC).

The NoApp is an innovative productivity feature that allows users of supported VeEX telecommunication test sets to easily transfer test results and key performance indicators (KPI) to internet-connected mobile devices, using a QR Code or NFC, without having to install any application (app), sign in to a service, share contact information, or requiring any configuration. It is meant to be simple and straightforward. Just save the test results on the instrument and use the mobile device's camera to read the generated QR code or just bring a smartphone closer to the NFC logo, to get the fully formatted test result data transferred from the test set to the mobile device.

Once the test results data is on the internet-connected mobile device, the NoApp cloud service automatically interprets the data and converts it to a report, with the required graphics, tables and formatting. Users then can augment the test report by adding comments, pictures, documents, geolocation tag (obtained from the mobile device), generate PDF reports, share with others, etc. It also enables users to consolidate multiple test results belonging to the same job, including those coming from different types of instruments.

One of the biggest field challenges is when measurement results data cannot be managed directly on site. Technicians may then need to leave the facility or field, go back to the office and only then post-process, compile and share the test reports. That takes time, creates unnecessary steps, and can delay both troubleshooting and reporting. NoApp takes care of all that on site.

NoApp is also compatible with the R-Server cloud service, allowing existing subscribers to upload test reports directly to their corporate or cloud VeSion® R-Servers.

NoApp can also support contractors and subcontractors who may not have the budget and/or resources to manage the IT complexities of centralized workflow, data collection, and billing systems. It offers a straightforward, consistent and reliable method for generating completion test reports on-site, enabling users to share these reports quickly and efficiently, thereby streamlining their billing and collection cycles.

NoApp® advantages:

  • Streamline workflow and reporting.

  • No recurring IT approvals, no servers or network infrastructure to manage.

  • No updates to manage.

  • No data collection, no registration, no sign in, no subscription, no fees.

  • Works with any modern smartphone, tablet, or computer with camera. No preparations required.

  • Quick access via native QR code reader app or NFC sensor.

• PDF export and easy sharing options directly from your phone.

  • Geotagged results with location coordinates.

  • Ability to collect multiple types of test results for users to consolidate job reports.

  • Test report data can be exported to industry-standard formats, such as JSON, enabling seamless third-party integration and automated processing by the Communication Service Provider's (CSP) existing systems.

  • For technicians in the field, it means less administrative tasks, faster reporting and easier sharing of measurement data — directly from the mobile.

  • For contractors and subcontractors, it can also mean faster reporting, job closing and billing.

Also, these days, companies are strictly regulating which apps and software can and cannot be installed on their employees and contractors’ phones, tablets, and computers. This is often just right from a cybersecurity and IT perspective — but it can also create challenges for technicians who need to quickly document, share and report measurement results, both in-house and out in the field.

NoApp simply makes reporting from the field faster, easier and more accessible, without compromising the company's IT and cybersecurity policies.
