What is High-Split DOCSIS?

It is an upgrade to the upstream spectrum of the HFC plant, to allow for more data bandwidth and certain symmetrical services.

High-Split, along with Extended Spectrum DOCSIS (ESD) and R-PHY/DAA, enables the coaxial plant to expand its upstream spectrum up to 684 MHz, allowing for more OFDMA data channels and total upstream data bandwidth availability for its subscribers. It also enables MSOs to offer certain types of symmetrical data services.
