What Do the U, R, E and C Stand for in SkyView GNSS Antenna Verification Tool?

They represent USA (GPS), Russia (GLONASS), European Union (Galileo) and China (BeiDou)

VeEX's SkyView GPS/GNSS Antena Verification tool uses these prefixes, along with space vehicle numbers (SVN), to identify the different satellite constellations by country/region.

  • U = USA (GPS)
  • R = Russia (GLONASS)
  • E = European Union (Galileo)
  • C = China (BeiDou)

Example of VeEX's SkyView GNSS Antenna reception heat map (polar graph)

For example, on the C/No density table, SVN "U26-1" refers to USA GPS satellite #26's L1A/C band.
