RXT-6402 High-Speed Transceivers Pull-Tab Orientation (How to Insert them Correctly)
Modern High-Speed transceivers tend to stick up to an inch (>2 cm) outside of their cage, so it is important to know how to insert them correctly (orientation) and not to push them too far.
The image depicts the correct orientation for all pluggable transceivers supported by VeEX's RXT-6402 Dual 400G test module. For high-speed transceivers, users may use the pull-tabs, or LC connector direction, as a reference for their correct orientation.
- Note that AOC/DACs, 100G SFP-DD, 25G/32G SFP28 transceivers come with Pull-Tabs while 1G/10G/16G SFP+ (and some SFP28) come with traditional Bail Clasp (pull lever). The image depicts the orientation for pull tabs. The orientation of the colored part of the bail clasp are shown above the module, for reference.

QSFP28 and QSFP-DD transceiver heads may protrude up to one inch (2.54 cm) outside of the cage, DO NOT try to force them in any further.
Always remove QSFP-DD, QSFP56, QSFP28 and SFP-DD transceivers from the test set before storing it in the carrying case. Store the transceivers in their transport boxes.
